The Masonic letter G can only be interpreted sufficiently through the lens of the Secret Qabalistic Teachings of IsRaEl, which are rooted in the cultural practices of Ancient Egypt/Kemet. Any other means of interpretation renders very little spiritual truth and meaning to this Sacred Masonic symbol.
Let us begin by stating the letter G alludes commonly to the number 7, and justly so it should due to the sacred nature of that Number. However this allusion is commonly corresponded to the orderly sequence of the numeric succession of the English Alphabet as the letter G being the Seventh letter.

Although there exist a number of methods to Qabalistically and Meta-Physically interpret the Masonic Letter G, we will express its meaning in the manner in which the Square and Compass have been demonstrated to be influenced by the configuration of the Etz ha-Chayim.
The Masonic letter G in its central position between the Square and Compass corresponds Qabalistically to the Pseudo or Hidden Sephirah Daath often referred to as the Abyss.

Among other things. We shall now demonstrate through a Qabalistic and Meta-Physic interpretation of the Hebrew word Daath, how the Masonic letter G corresponds to the Number Seven.
The word Daath is translated to mean Knowledge. This hidden Sephirah is located in between the 3 higher Sephirah and the Seven lower Sephirah. However the initial six Sephirah of the Tree of Life express two distinct worlds of expression. The first three establish a Triad of infinite potential which possesses in essence the ingredient of every thing in existence. And the next triad below the Abyss of Daath is the reflection of the supernal Triad.
The Supernal Triad descends toward materialization collectively through the lens of Daath into a parallel universe composed of a triad which is with in our reach of spiritual Comprehension. The reflected triad is the first manifestation within the measurable parameters of time and space.
This triad is composed of tangible forces in which we can experience. They are the dueling forces of Severity and Mercy, War and Love, whose conflict bring about a Beautiful and ultimate Redemption.

The Hebrew word for Midst in ThaWeK. ThaWeK can also be translated to mean Middle, Amongst, Within, and Between. When we equate the Six initial Sephirah to the Garden of Eden, the Biblical Scriptures inform us that Eve [ChaVaH] was instructed by GOD [EloHIM] not to eat [AkeL] the FRUIT [PeRY] of the Tree [Etz] which is in the Midst [ThaWeK] of the Garden [GaN].
The Midst of the Garden would be in the Middle of the Six initial Sephiroth. This Knowledge is the hidden Sephirah Daath.
